PROGRAM: Last month’s General Meeting was held at the Bayview View in Jamesport. It was well attended and Phil Blindenhofer, Bossler & Sweezey, put on an excellent presentation regarding current propeller technology, including information on Acme Propellers and some other new products available that can help boats increase performance and fuel economy simply by changing propellers. The food was top shelf…everybody raved about it. The restaurant is a small quaint place, but they have an incredible chef. If you missed the meeting, you may want to contact Phil at Bossler & Sweezey to inquire about some of the new propeller technology that is available.
The Program Committee met and coordinated the program for the AMI meetings for the rest of the season through our June 2012 clam bake. We have attempted to add some new meeting places and tried to move the meetings around the North Fork, South Fork, Central and West. We have a good outline of proposed meeting places and speakers and specific details will be forthcoming in upcoming newsletters. Ron Alcus, Pat Welch, Ken Weinbrecht.
GOLF OUTING: The Golf Committee has booked the date of September 11, 2012, for our next Golf Outing. The cost will stay the same at $165. By popular demand, it will be held again at The Woods at Cherry Creek and Stonewalls Restaurant. Last year’s outing was a great success and everyone loved the course, the food, the service and had a great time. HOLD THE DATE! Jim Wickey.
BOATER’S GUIDE: Joanne will be working on the membership listing for this year’s Boater’s Guide this week. Make sure she has up-to-date information and that YOUR DUES ARE PAID. We are also looking for events and activities at your place of business or in your area for our calendar of events. Please send them to Joanne.
The preliminary layout of the Guide is magnificent. Having it in color changes the whole look! There is also new information and a new look to it. As you know, 12,000 copies are distributed to the public through out members. If you wish to advertise, contact Joanne at the AMI Office at 631-849-4232. We still have spots and time for you to reserve one! Richard Mendelman.
